Hi guys

I've kinda been itching to put together a high and system again and was wondering the following:

If i purchase two 780 and SLI them, do I go with a standard version or an OC or something?

Basically I'm wondering if I can just buy a standard edition and actually overclock them both to the point of the higher priced versions. I had a custom loop in mind so cooling should be no problem.

Solution
I don't know what makes people believe they can take a reference card and easily OC it to match a factory overclocked card and yes, I am assuming you manually OC the factory OC'd card.

1. Factory OC'd cards generally come with improved coolers.

2. Factory OC'd cards most often (EVGA SC series is an exception) come with custom PCBs and beefed up VRMs

3. factory OC'd cards sometimes use hand binned GPUs

Custom cooled GFX cards are usually limited to the stock reference versions. generally recommended to buy them pre-assembled.

I put this together this post for someone last night

You will need (3) 140mm fans for the GPU loop and (2) for the CPU loop....consider later if ya want push-pull.

If ya case cant mount 140's .... then change to 360 and 240 rads

Accessories..... fluid ....distilled water recommended .... if ya must have color look at the Mayhem pastel stuff....think about biocides and corrosion inhibiter additives.

Funnel ?
