Help! Whats the best 27" gaming monitor on my unfortunate budget?

Hi all,

Im new here and a first time poster.

Thanks for taking the time to read and hopefully help with my dilemma.

My monitor died a while back and havent had the funds to replace it, scounged a bit together as im desperate to game. I am unfortunately working on a budget here of £220 to be specific.

I am an avid gamer and primarily use the monitor for gaming, fps being a fav genre.

Having had a 30" I really dont want anything smaller than a 27" display, I have been looking at all sorts... trying to find whats best for a gamer like myself in a monitor. Quite frankly im getting confused... So many different things to take into consideration, resolution, ms, hz, and then the IPS tech which changes things again... Im just spending ages getting nowhere but baffled.

I decided to post here in hopes someone with better understanding and knowledge will be able to help me and offer some suitable suggestions.

Many thanks,

Matt

  5. thanks for the replies, sorry I have been without the internet a few days :(

Don't the IPS panel monitors struggle ms wise compared with the tn panels? a friend of mine has horrible ghosting when spinning at any speeds on his. Having not owned or used one myself I just don't have any basis to compare on personally.
