Internet no working on new installed windows 7 drivers installed and

My internet doesn't work, i just bought a new pc, i installed windows 7 on it then installed all the drivers from the motherboard cd, network drivers etc. However when i plug in a external internet cable it doesn't work, it says that the cable isn't connected but it is, only one orange light is flashing. I have tested the internet cable and it works on my other pc. Only wireless works. Device manager displays my network adapter as; Intel Ethernet Connection I27-V
Motherboard: Gygabite Z87X-D3H

Any help will be much appreciated.

Well i tried this but it still wont work :( Can the motherboard be defected ?

What is a mobo ? And the thing is that at first it worked for like 10 min but with very looow internet speed after i rebooted my PC it did not work at all . ;( so i dont know what to do :( .

Mobo = motherboard, might have a bad solder point or a loose wire at the ethernet connection that was just barely having contact, which would explain the low connection initially then a jolt or plugging, unplugging the connector might have broken it loose
