My RAM Passmark score much lower than the exact same baseline RAM?

I purchased a pair of 4gb corsair vengeance sticks and ran passmark. I noticed that my RAM was surprisingly inferior in comparison to the baselines but I noticed what looked like a similar model to my RAM. I checked and lo and behold, it was the same. Thing is, when my computer was benchmarked, it got probably half the score that the baseline corsair RAM got. Any reasons why? And yes, I checked all the specs. They are the exact same.

Are running an AMD rig...if so they have weak MCs (memory controllers) and don't fully utilize DRAM to it's fullest, if running Intel, could be timings are't set right or could just be a bad stick or a few other things....what are your system specs?

That throws a lot of folks, DRAM is DRAM, but the CPU and MC (memory controller) needs to be able to carry it, sadly, AMD has weak MCs, even the 8350 and the upper FX CPUs that are 'heralded' as having a native 1866 MC actually have a 1333 'native' MC, and are pre-OCed to boot. This drives many people crazy, they run a BM like MaxxMem and are often shocked to see only some over half what an equivilent Intel CPU wil run the DRAM at
