I am deciding what to get at the end of the year, a ps4 or pc. My budget is 900 but I cant decide, there are friends on both sides persuading me. I would usually move the system around alot and would use it roughly 5-6 times at a time in a week. I prefer a controller but I like the power of a pc

Can someone help me decide?

Build an mATX or ITX gaming PC and either use your PS3 controller with motionjoy or just buy a 360 controller compatible with it.

for 900 you will get a little more grunt for your money with a pc, but the ps4 will offer ease of use. both will require installing your games but the ps4 will do it with a bit less fuss. not a huge amount but a bit less all the same.
games wise the ps3 will offer some good exclusive titles but if your not into them and play a lot of multi platform titles the pc is a better choice.
lastly because of the limited hardware the ps4 will be out of date by the time windows 8.1 is released as it will be sporting dx11.2.
which offers better value...?
to me the pc, because it has an upgrade path that keeps it relevant over its lifespan. the pc because the games are generally cheaper.
ps4 only wins 1 because of exclusive titles that are mostly pretty decent.

The only problem I see with grabbing a PC over the PS4 is if you're moving it around a lot like you said.

If you go with a PC you can use a controller for games that make good use of a controller (driving games for example) and use a M&K for games that are made to be played with them (FPS's for example).

With a PC you will get a more powerful system. You get some of the best games available. You have tons of exclusives, hell even whole genres are essentially exclusive to the PC. You miss out on the very very few good exclusives from the PS side though (only ones I can think of from this generation are Uncharted and Last of Us).

Of course, the best reason to get a PC is because of the price of the games. I haven't payed full price for a game in years. I think the most I've spent is around ~$40. I'll be spending ~$45 for BF4 so that'll be a new record. If you aren't buying brand new games on the release date then you're talking about games for less than $20 most of the time. I just bought Bioshock Infinite for $10, and that is a fairly new game! Hell that's not even including the humble bundles which are just ludicrous.
