Hello. As I have decided about my hardware parts for my new Pc, I wonder about the cooling. First I was about to go with CM Hyper 212 evo, but then, I thought about Corsair h80i. Ill be running 4th generation i5-4670k and im planing to overclock as much as I could safely can. My chassis ll be Carbite 500r. Do you think is worth going for h80i?

Solution
Actually I can't think of an advantage for the H80....

1. It doesn't cool as well as the top air coolers. H100 wind by a little

2. They are 19dBA louder than the top air coolers according to Corsair's advertising..... with each 3 dBA representing a doubling of sound pressure level, 19/3 = 6.333 ..... 2^ 6.33 power means it's 80 times louder than a Phanteks.

3.. You can make it quieter buy changing the fans, but then it loses cooling capacity w/o the high rpm fans.

4. Given the above lack of benefits, why add water inside ya substantial cash investment ?

I recommmend two options:

A. Top end air cooler ....see top 3 here:

So the advantage of h80i will be just cosmetic, as I prefer the effects of clear and neat space inside the case, that h80i leaves?

B. True water cooling kit like Coolermaster Eisberg 240L prestige (20.5 dBA) or Swiftech 220 if ya in Europe
