Hey there guys,

I'm currently preparing a parts list for my 1st computer build. The goal of the build is it build a computer that will be fast in after effects, premiere pro, photoshop, lightroom, and other adobe software. Now, I've many things and have had trouble deciding which CPU to get. So far, I have read Intel is good for Adobe Software but I'm currently deciding to choose i5 or an i7. Currently, the CPU I have in mind is the Intel i7-4770, but I don't know if this is the one I should go with, for I am not an expert. I will be doing most of my work in After Effects and Premiere Pro, and I want it be quick. I will be doing 3D work (meaning virtual 3D space, not steroscopy 3D). I really want to utilize the money I have to work as amazing as possible. I want it to be fast as possible so I can get a good output time for my clients. Thanks for all the help (in advance), Zach

Also, if there's another CPU that would be good for me, mention it and I'll look into it. And my maximum budget for the PC is $1,500.00

I was looking at some of the 3rd Generation Intel Core i7's but they are about the same price and the new Haswell has some advantages that I think are important to have. I compared the Intel i7-4770 and the i7-3820, which are around the same price, and the i7-4770 had a better performance score over the i7-3820.

I also don't have $550 dollars to spend on the CPU alone. If I had a higher budget, I would definitely consider it, but I was hoping at maximum $350. Sorry, I didn't mention that.

Why is the 3930k better for multi threaded software? Also what is multi threaded software?
