Hi there,

I have been getting this page_default_in_non_paged_area a little while after I installed a new Mobo, CPU and adding another HDD

Here are my specs-

i5 4670k
ASRock z87 extreme 4
MSI HD 7850
500GB Main HDD (OS is installed in it)
2TB additional HDD
8GB 1333 mhz
Seasonic M12II 620w
Windows 8 Pro

Everytime I boot up my computer after not using it for a long time, the BSOD appears immediately after the BIOS prompt. Also, when it says that it would restart for me, it just hangs and I have to do a hard shutdown. Weird thing is, it works perfectly after switching it on again. So now, I have to start up my computer twice in order to get it to work.

Could it be a software problem? Maybe the ASRock Bloatware like Xfast RAM and stuff like that?

if its before windows even boots it could be a ram or bios problem, make sure your bios is updated to the latest and test your ram stick individually.

Definitely sounds like RAM. Try running memtest for 5 passes.

The windows logo appears and the dots circle for a second before going to the BSOD

You download it and burn the ISO to a disk or to a bootable USB key and you boot to it from the bios. then it will run. If it has any errors at all during the test, you have bad RAM.
