Hey, I am building a PC used for a home theater. I want to be able to run an 80" 1080pm TV. Trying to be under 1000 US without mail-in-rebates. Would this build manage to do so? Please leave some suggestions:

Solution

That WD red HDD is designed for network servers. Go for a 2TB WD Green. Same performance but better value.

If you already have a case for such a build, i would say go for it. It'll play Blu-ray movies no problem at all at 1080P. If you don't have a case, go for a Fractal Design Node 605. Absolutely perfect and is optimized for silence and cooling.

Hey, minor change, I want to do 2 2 TB drives. I switched the HDDs to the Western Digital Red 2TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive. Is this hard drive still OK?

How about a Seagate Barracuda? Never mind, going with a green. Just want something that will work for a long time.

i would suggest this.

the 840 evo is almost as fast as the 840 pro but the price of the 840.

WD red drives are good for running 24\7 and dont have the access lag that some of the lower end hdd's do.

4670 is overkill for an htpc.

Seasonic make the best psu's
