Hello, I plan on getting the Lenovo Y510p laptop (entry level) soon. And I want a good wireless mouse that has a low profile receiver (size of the Logitech unifying receiver) with as similar a layout as the Logitech G9x. Please do not mention any razer mice as I do not like them.

my bad it was the m505. its obsolete and i think is replaced by the m525.

its a mobile wireless mouse. nothing fancy. it is however very good on batteries and its small enough to pack away in my bag.

its not a gaming mouse but then again packing a gaming mouse in a computer bag takes up precious space.

it doesnt have a dpi adjust button but i've found after 10 years of gaming that its not required. to each their own.

hard to say. i've used more than my fair share of logitech products and so does my family. honestly i've never seen any major issues that were not common across all electronics (such as batteries dying after a few years) however there seem to be some nasty reviews on the g700 and g700s for some reason. i personally bought a g600 to see if it would work for me and i just didnt like the feel so i returned it but as far as software and hardware it seemed flawless so i cannot fathom that the g700 would be so much different.

i've seen a comment across our own forums that somone uses the performance mx wireless mouse for gaming. i used to use one of the office mice (mx1000) way back for gaming as well.

if you want some other options i've heard that roccat had a wireless mouse and that brand seems to be popular. perhaps another product to look into.
