Building a PC with little experience, are these parts compatible?

I've put a PC together in a classroom before, but the parts were chosen by the teacher. I'm looking at a newegg combo that seems to be pretty nice (decent for my gaming needs, within my budget), but newegg does not guarantee that the parts in the combo are compatible. I'm trying to determine for myself, but it's all a bit over my head.

Here is the combo I'm looking at:

In general, if they are part of a newegg combo, they are compatible. There are numerous tutorials for how to put together a computer. I can't stress enough to be mindful of discharging your hand of static when building.

Do you need the 802.11ac WiFi? If not, you're better off buying the parts separately. It's compatible, but this is much better:

Oh, thank you that's very helpful! But sadly, yes, I do need a wifi adapter. A wired connection just isn't going to happen in my room without drilling new holes in the wall and I am not permitted to do that.
