Hi everyone. I have changed my internet service provider recently. They gave me a new modem to support the new speed. But there is one problem. When i ping the router from command prompt. The pings at first seem to be fine, a while later there is a simple hickup of like 500 ping. After that a few timeouts, it may recover. But mostly doesnt and pings start to fail until i disconnect and reconnect to the network. The network does not totally fail when im playing online games, but it does get lag spikes pretty often. Its not about the computer, i ve tried with 3 different computers. Its not about the windows either. I tried with win 7-8 32 bit 64 bit. I had the router changed, tried it with ethernet cable plugged instead of wifi. Im not using any specific dns adresses or anything like that. There is no phone near the router, Its like 3-5 meteres away from my laptop.
Also here is an example of what it looks like on command prompt:

What do you think may be causing this issue. Any way to fix this? Also no antivirus installed, no firewall enabled(not on the computer or the router).

Solution
Try logging into the cable modem check for low signal or low or over high power level. Check for bad cable wire or splitter in your house. Check where the cable from the pole meets your house make sure it tight and not rusted out. Check cable line to your home for damage or bare wire. Try using google Dns or open dns to see if it an ISP issue. Call the ISP up see if there another dns server they can switch you too.

The thing is the cable is not like a simple ethernet cable. The router uses tv cable, those are already checked. Cables are fine and well conencted. One of the computers i tried had avast antivirus and firewall enabled. I tried disabling one of them each time. And i tried to directly connect to the router too. No luck. I suspect it must be something from the settings of the router but i have no idea what.
