Hi all,

Looking at building a new rig although have a few concerns about the 8pin PCI-E connections.

I have the Galaxy 1000w DXX PSU think this is it http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2007/07/09/psu_group_t...

Although when I opened the computer up just now I noticed just 2x 6pins (Running my GTX 560)

So my question is would this PSU be suitable for a GTX 770 upgrade I assume that would come with a 6pin to 8 pin converter? so I just plug this into the PSU then to the 8pin slot on the GPU correct?

Or will I be best just to get a new PSU?

Hope the above make sence, Thank you for your time and look forward to any reply's

1000w is more than enough for a GTX 770

figured the watts would be enough more concerned about the 8 pin connector if it would be "compatable" being its about 5years old and had just the 2-6pins
