Intel g860 vs Phenom II X4 945

Solution

The 7750 is a better card then the 5770. The 5770 can certainly not max out anything. How much are you willing to spend on your GPU though?

Exactly. While the g860 is much more efficient, it still only has 2 cores and is slower than the phenom II x4 945.

Speaking of which, if you're in the market for a phenom II x4 945, why not try to get a 955 or 965 Black Edition? They cost a few dollars more and can be overclocked even more (and have faster default clock speeds).

Get a radeon 7750, its the best option. It will run games at low-medium at 1080p

I would not try to buy cards that are 2 generations old unless you already own them. There's no point. The 7750 and 7770 are more powerful than the 5770, gts 450, and gt 640. I agree that the AMD HD 7750 or 7770 is a great option around $100 on sale (try to go for the 7770). You will be able to play bf4, crysis 3, etc. on medium/high on a 1280x1024 monitor.
