CPU gets at 100% when playing games.

My cpu hops to 100% usage when playing games, and then i get fps drops.
From 100fps to 40~fps.
My computer is laptop asus k50in, i play old game cs 1.6
how to prevent this?

If it has Nvidia and a Intel Cpu with intel that is HD Graphics embedded, it does go to Intel HD graphics when the a game that is not quite demanding... and know that the some stuttering is also there, I have had a laptop with Optimus GFX....
It can be that

it all started about a week ago, everything till then was normal, i played this game 3-4 years no problems, and now it started dropping my fps and cpu usage being at 100%

Have you maybe installed a new driver, some says the driver needs to be uninstalled before installing a new one...
Have you tried to vacuum the pc? if alot of dusts in the pc, can cause the overheat... But I cannot tell why the cpu goes 100%
I also had a PC that have been got bad cause of Windows Updates, if choosen all... Some of the updates also can cause problems...
if you have a System Restore before the Incident of the problem, try that also

I've cleaned up my laptop few weeks ago, i think i cannot do system restore because i have important files that take up much space, i think the cause is windows updates, it has been updating so frequently.
