Please help!!! My downloaded files go to Windows Player and VLC and I can't open them. My pc has antivirus (Avast).

Solution
Its a File Association Problem you have maybe set it as default.
Easiest way is to use the open with option. To access this option, this is what you could do:
– highlight the zipped file
– right click on it
– click on open with option
– point it to whatever program you have to open zipped files or you can select windows explorer as default and it will open it for you
– you can also select the choose default program that shows when using the open with option and point it to program you use to unzip compressed files.

Or Uninstall Both VLC And winrar and re install them.

:hello:

Kindly I ask your attention.

When I'm not misstaken, there is an How To Upgrade File. Right click on it and choos Open (so you can read how and what to do).
When it will not open, unzip the package so you have an unzipped map with two documents in it, a .txt and a .bin file. Now open the text file and read it, it has to say how to use the .bin file.

Well, if you don't know how to unzip, as written before, right click the unzipped item and choos Open With and choos there Windows Unzipper or whatever you like.

I guess in the text file will be told how to use the .bin file. Might be that you just have to click on it or right click, Open With and you have to choos the program what needs it or handles it, the program where the upgrade is for. Or just click on it and see what happens. Likely VLC player will try to open it.

Or Open the program where the upgrade is for and try to open it from there, like Start at the menubar, Open File or whatever. Or at Extra's or Tools you might find some options for it.

No need to uninstall and reinstall the software.
You could set uncheck .bin ad settings of VLC player.

Hopefully I let you known enough and that you will find the answers you seek!

Good luck and have fun doing it!

Best Regards,
