i personally love my asus sabertooth 990fx, You can overclock like crazy on it and its only a 8+2 phase design. Do you plan on doing overclocks? If not you can invest in a cheaper 990fx or fxa board
  2. I would agree with 06yfz450ridr (geez your name is complicated) except I would go for the GEN3 version. It is currently the only MOBO for AMD that has PCIe 3.0. I can attest that cards do run at 3.0 on it, and that a Crossfire or SLI setup will run both cards at x16 3.0. However it is a limited edition board and I'm not sure how long that lasted for or if there are any others out there.
  3. I have a gen 3 990fx sabertooth.(8350 coming later)
And can say it is awesomesauce

Realistically there isn't any difference, I just knew that in the future I would be Crossfiring and I wanted that extra bandwidth for that. I believe that the next generation games and GPUs may get close to the 2.0 bandwidth, most certainly when Crossfired.
