Hi, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction on what to do next. This is only my second build.

I am building my 8 year old a new PC for moderate gaming (Minecraft) and I settled on the system shown below after reading recommended budget AMD builds here on Toms Hardware.

After assembling, the system will post, but when it starts to run the Windows 8 installation process off dvdrom, it fails and re-boots. And then fails and re-boots, and so on ad infinitum.

In BIOS , it recognizes the DVD burner, the hard drive, and all 8 GB of RAM. The mobo has BIOS version 1302 as of Dec 2012, so according to the ASUS website supports the CPU (as of several versions ago).

The Win8 dvd was recently purchased from Amazon, no scratches.

Anyone have advice on what to do next?

Thanks in advance!
