Hi all.

My young nephew asked me to spec out a build of a computer for gaming with a budget of $700 including monitor, mouse and keyboard. (I'm donating an HD.)

Based on some of the advice on here I arrived at the following. But when he asked me if the computer would be good for gaming, I had to admit that I have no idea. I doubt I've run a computer game in my life.

I'd be grateful if people could look at my list and give me an opinion whether this setup would work for gaming. If not, please post any suggestions you have.

Thanks!

I can highly recomend this motherboard which will definetly lower the costs. This board can support higher memory, has usb 3.0 header, and can do sli at x16 x8 just like your board for a fraction of the cost.

I took one look at your cpu cooler and said no. That thing has no good reviews. If you walk the dangerous side for performance go with this

Otherwise a good choice is this
