A Good Gaming computer for 1200$ dollars?

Solution
Hey. I'm also about to order a new CPU/motherboard/case. I was told that most games don't even use more than 2 cores making the 3570/4670 more than enough. If there are games that use more than 4 cores, what are they? I play MMORPGs and I know they are CPU heavy games. Do they use more than 4 cores? I was thinking to get the 4670 but do you think the AMD would be better for MMOs? I also play other games like shooters and stuff.
Well, we can certainly help you, but we'll need quite a bit more information:
1: Where are you buying? (country and state/province needed, city ideal)
2: Do you need peripherals, a monitor, and/or an OS?
3: Do you wish to overclock?
4: Is gaming the only intended use of the system?
5: How do you feel about CrossFire/SLI?
6: Do you have any other requirements regarding the system (needs to be silent, needs to be portable, etc.)?

Answering those questions will help us to help you.

i5-3570 or i5 4670 for the CPU is the best you can get before going to i7 which isn't necessary for gaming. The 4670 is the newest one (Haswell). They perform about the same but since Haswell is the newest one, they may focus more on updating it than the others and that may translate into a peformance lead over the 3570. The prices are very similar around $220.00.

For the GPU- If you prefer Nvidia get the 770 for $400.00 or the 760 for $250.00. For AMD get the 7950 for around $250.00 ( can be as low as $200.00) or the 7970 for as low as $310.00.

For that budget an Intel i5 3570k/4670k or AMD FX 8350 is easily doable and both will perform very nicely. However, neither is 'best' overall, and it will really depend on what games you play and how many CPU cores they can use.

If you mainly play games that use 1-4 cores go with the i5.
If you mainly play games that can use 4+ cores go with the FX 8350.

Invest in a good board and good cooling and you can overclock either pretty easily (* the AMD is unlocked and a little easier) and get a lot of performance out of them.
