How much difference does it make if one graphics card has a 300mhz higher clock speed than another graphic card?

Core Clock Speed - 8-22 FPS
Memory Clock Speed - 0-9 FPS
These are estimates.
How did I bring -
Test Setup -
i5-3570K - 3.8GHZ Turbo
XFX HD 7950 Core Edition -
Core - 800MHz Core V/S 900MHz V/S 1000MHz V/S 1100MHz
Memory - 1000MHz V/S 1100MHz V/S 1200 V/S 1300MHz
Gigabyte GA -B75M-D3H
Primary Drive with games and OS - WD Caviar Blue 500GB WD5000AAKX
Game - Tomb Raider , Inbuilt Benchmark
Ultimate Settings , TressFX ON , Ultra

Dont have exact changes as this test was done when bought Tomb Raider.

EDIT - Was searching for results , and copy/pasted this ,and realised we were talking about GTX 620 and GTX 210.

it depends , if it's the same graphic card then it makes a big difference(hd 7770 at 700mhz it's slower than 1000 mhz let's say 30~% slower) , if it's a different card then you can't say witch one is faster ex. gtx780 at 700 mhz is mutch faster than hd7770 at 1000mhz (sorry about my english)

620 has a significant performance increse but if you have the money buy a better card for games i find hd 7770 or gtx 650 "good enough" for gaming or at least buy a hd7730

I would not consider it significant enough to buy a new card. Neither card can game worth a damn. Intel's HD 4600 performs better. It is not a gaming card in any way shape or form.

Splendid
i'd say it is pretty darn significant

based on my quick googling it seems gt620 comes in 2 flavors, one is OEM-only and utter crap, the other is retail and somewhat better, the specs match older gt430 pretty much perfectly and it screams of rebranding or at least some less creative solution to fill a certain price bracket.. compare to the hd4550 which is both charts, or 4670 might be even better.... so 3 times faster or there abouts?
it is still pretty slow :((

I already prematurely bought the 210 card. I bought a HD5450 for my computer, but my bios wouldn't accept it. So i only want to buy nvidia, my computer has a lot of limiting factors, which is why i only want to spend £20 max on a gpu

My sympathies. I assume you can return the card, else you wouldn't have posted in these forums.

In your case I highly recommend grabbing a used card off UK ebay. *much* more card for your money.

this one is much more powerful and still fits under you power requirement.

*p.s. I'm also making the assumption that your PSU does not have a 6 pin connector for video cards. If in fact it does, you can get the even more powerful GTS 250 off UK's ebay for the same price. That card is almost as strong as the 7750, and it's power draw is still low enough for your PSU.
