So i have played bf3 for a couple of months and everything ran smoothly, but just recently i have been having issues with high cpu usage and alot of frame drops in game, so i decided to monitor cpu usage, cpu temp, gpu usage, and gpu temp to see what was happening. When i first initially joined a match my cpu usage stayed below 80 percent and gpu usage around 30 to 50 percent, temps not topping 50 degrees celsius for either gpu nor cpu. I was getting good frames, when all of a sudden my cpu usage spiked to the high 90s. i checked my resource monitor and saw that svchost.exe(DcomLaunch) and svchost.exe(LocalSystemNet) started to use alot of my other resources not being used by bf3. In game, i started to get fps drops and low fps all around. i will post a pic of my resource monitor, my gpu monitor, and my temps. I really need help with this problem, because it renders it almost impossible to play bf3 enjoyably and i don't wish to back to console. I will list my hardware down below. If it does any justice, i play the game at 1600x900 resolution (native resolution)

pc specs:
Fx4100 Oced to 4.5ghz
Evga gtx660 super clocked 2gb ddr5
Asrock n68 vs3 fx motherboard
1 tb hard drive 7200rpm
8gb ram (4x2)
Cooler master hyper 212 evo
Corsair cx500 watt power supply
Windows home premium 64bit
NZXT gamma classic series case

Try resetting your overclock I suspect it may not like being that high on a board that only supports 95W CPUs.

I did as you said and got the same exact results as when i oced to 4.5ghz. cpu usage was still very high and fps dropped even lower. I am thinking about maybe only ocing to 4.2ghz and testing it.

same results on stock clock and on overclocking to 4.2ghz. I might try doing a malware scan of my computer to see if i have any malware causing high cpu usage or maybe it could be my video card drivers.
