I am relatively new to PC's and need to change my CPU fan. I am choosing between a Noctua NH-U14S and a Noctua NH-U12S. The 14 will keep my Haswell cooler. but it is bigger and the heatsink would be very close to my GPU and I do not want to increase the GPU temperature as a side effect. Here are two images of the fans from a comparison video (my case is somewhat similar, a HAF X):
The one closer to the GPU is the U14S. Could that cause a higher temp on my GPU, and which fan would you choose?
