I am looking to upgrade my gaming rig and I want to do it in stages. I currently have a i72600 CPU, 8 gigs of ram, and a gtx570 video card. I eventually want to end up with a i74770 cpu, 16 gigs of ram, and a gtx780 video card. What will give me the biggest performance bump, replacing the cpu, mobo, memory, or the video card?

Just FYI I currently play a variety of different games but dropping below 60fps in any game just makes me want to hit people with large heavy things. Firefall is my main game of choice atm, but I also play Planetside2, Loadout, Borderlands 2, Crysis 3, Battlefield 3.

780 is biggest increase by far, 4770k isn't a big performance bump...maybe 10% over your 2600k

You would be wasting your money going to a 4770k over what you have now. You would see far more with a GPU upgrade.
