MoBo compatibility issue

i doubt it would do anything to your motherboard. If anything, you should be worried whether or not the power supply is sufficient for that gpu.

That power supply should suffice for the card. They arent that hard to change out. Its just plugging things in and taking things out.

Watch out though, since on OEM machines (HP, Acer, Dell) sometimes the power supply leads are attached to weird things. Just make sure you have unplugged everything.

Should be simple, I've done it on an Acer before.
