Problem: While i'm online whether playing a game or browsing. My compute randomly stops detecting my USB wireless adapter and disconnects me. To quick fix, I unplug the adapter and replug into a diff usb port. Anyone know what is causing this? I never had this problem with my old rig. So i'm thinking it's related to the usb 3.0 ports. happens randomly. 1-2 per day.

My setup:
i5 4670k (3.4ghz, no OC)
asus z87-a
evga gtx 760 w/acr fan (no OC)
2x 4g, 1600 of corsair vengence ram
samsung pro 256g ssd
2tb seagate hdd
corsair h60 water cooler
seasonic 650w gold plus G series pwr
corsair carbide 400 case

router: asus rt-66u
usb adapter: asus usb-n66
(both are out of box, no updates or new firmware)

Charter cable internet

Please advise, or point me in the right direction. Thanks for your help in advance!

had the adapter for 4 months, no problems. wasn't until I bought this new computer, then it started happening. and no immediately either. had the new computer for a week, just started having this problem 2 days ago.

you can, try another adapter, try the adapter in another computer, change the wireless to another channel or swap out your motherboard. or run a cable and not worry about wireless.
