Hello everyone and thanks in advance for the help.

When I install the Nvidia drivers for my Geforce gtx 660 ti and then restart my comp, I get a BSOD when it tries to start Windows. I then have to go into safe mode and uninstall the drivers, which puts me into this 800x600 screen that I'm typing from now.

I used driver sweeper to clean the old ATI driver and I uninstalled Catalyst, and I tried to install the Nvidia drivers from the CD.
After that didn't work and I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers and used driver sweeper again, I tried installing them from Nvidia's website. That also didn't work.

I'm fairly new to this, but I figured there was no better way to learn than to just hop right in. That was last night. I have been troubleshooting since then trying to figure out what the problem is, and now I'm hoping you guys can help me.

The graphics card I'm trying to install: Geforce gtx 660ti
PSU: Kentek 750W ATX
CPU: E6800

The bccode is 116. It is followed by:

0xFFFFFA8006823010
0xFFFFF88004F84E30
0x0000000000000000
0x0000000000000002

nvlddmkm.sys is also following all of that

I'm not sure what other information you guys would need to help me out, so just let me know what else I need to include.

Thanks for your time.

Just an update.
I have the BSOD up now.
The bccode is 116 followed by:
0xFFFFFA8006823010
0xFFFFF88004F84E30
0x0000000000000000
0x0000000000000002

nvlddmkm.sys is also following all of that. Not sure if that is important. Not sure if any of this is helpful to be honest.

Again, thanks for your help and let me know if there is anymore information you guys might need.

You ever get this sorted? Theres a similar issue with a card im looking at. I've had this problem where it would boot into safe mode and that was a VGA driver conflict with the mobo with this specific card. I don't know if this is the case yet though with this card im looking to buy (looking ot SLI)

Turns out my problem was the card itself. I'm not sure what caused it, but something rendered it to be unable to communicate with my mobo. I had to contact the manufacturer. As soon as I told them the symptoms they immediately sent me an RMA number. Sorry I can't be much help!
