I decided to run some 3DMark 11 scores to see how my performance matched up on my Lenovo y410p, and the results were lower then expected.

Comparing it to this benchmark of the same laptop (besides the addition of a 24 GB SSD), they get 500 points higher.

Any clue why? I have all my drivers updated. Also, if you look at my y410p's benchmark, it says it's only using 1/8 physical/ logical processors.

Comparing the two results, the only differences I see are that your processor is running about 100 MHz slower (should be insignificant) and that the faster laptop has a different brand of memory, so the timings could be slightly different.

As for the 1/8 for the physical/logical processors, that is correct. There is only 1 physical processor (the whole CPU) and 8 logical processors (4 physical cores hyperthreaded).
