Wireless mouse glitches when downloading anything

About six months ago I finished building my gaming computer (specs listed later) and I had used a pci wireless adapter card to connect to my family's wifi. After about a week, it began to glitch out the mouse (I had a wired, roller ball mouse at the time) by making it jump across the screen chunkily instead of smoothly. Later if froze my entire computer when trying to connect or access the internet. I sent it back for a usb adapter that my friend had and recommended and it was working well until recently, when I have been noticing a rise in the number of times per week it will glitch out. It now happens at least once per day for up to 30 seconds, and is really annoying. It mainly occurs when starting steam downloads or opening too many internet tabs. I am not sure what is my problem, as I have tried different mice with the same issue occuring each time. Do I need to replace the usb wireless adapter? Any other ideas of what could be causing this issue?

System Specifications:
CPU: 6-core AMD FX-6200 3.8ghz
Motherboard: Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3
RAM: 8GB (2x4) Kingston Hyper X Blu
GPU: Zotac ZT-40708-10L (GT440)
PSU: Corsair TX 750 Enthusiast
Wireless Card: Rosewill RNX-N180UBE
Mouse: HP X4000
Also, I have tried switching the usb port the adapter is using, but it didn't help.

I tried getting the latest version of BIOS from the manufacturer (gigabyte, F4). My computer was already running F4 but when I used the .exe and extracted the files and tried to run it, it said it was incompatable with 64-bit windows (I have windows 7 ultimate x64). What should I do?

Most likely there's a way to upgrade it in the BIOS, but I'm not sure since I don't use that motherboard/BIOS myself. If you're already running the newest version, that won't fix it anyway though. You could try resetting the BIOS to the factory default settings to see if that helps, but make sure to look at the configuration first (or save it to a file if possible) so that you can change it back if it causes any problems. I would also suggest plugging the wireless adapter for the mouse into a USN port on the front of your case if it isn't already to reduce any interference from the PC.

I'll look into some other possibilities while you try those suggestions in case they don't fix the problem.

I found a Gigabyte BIOS update utility (@BIOS) and used that to reinstall F4, maybe it will work if somehow the old one got corrupted or something? I will see if it continues to glitch out.

Just to double-check this, the last guy I helped with this problem was running into issues because he had his monitor plugged into the onboard video instead of his PCIe video card. This was causing the mouse to glitch because the onboard card couldn't keep up when playing games at higher settings. Could you just verify that your monitor is plugged into the correct spot please? Thanks.

If possible, you may want to try plugging in an ethernet cable to see if the wireless network is causing any problems.

I still have not tested it using an ethernet cable, but I got a new(er) wireless router, and moved the wireless adapter to my front port usb 3.0 slot, and used the base that came with it to put it on a shelf a few feet from my computer. I have not had as much trouble with it, and, while the problem still exists, its far less frequent.
