So I received my Sapphire 7950 from Newegg today and I played some games and ran some benchmarks and it seems to me that the 7950 is underpeforming. Here is a link to the 3DMark11 benchmark :http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/7071240. In Unigine Valley I received a score of 1383 with an average FPS of 33.0. In Unigine Heaven 4.0 I received a score of 729 and an average FPS of 28.9. I played Battlefield 3 at the ultra preset and Fraps showed that it kept around 60 fps. For specs I have a FX-8120 at stock speeds (3.1 up to 3.888 with turbo) and the Sapphire 7950 at stock (925 boost on the core and 1250 on memory). Are these scores low and should I return it?

i think you are right about inline with where you should be from looking around

post over there they have always been really nice and you can get a good feel for exactly where you should be.

by the way all of your performance is really good for gaming, but i understand the need for always a little more. the overclock gave you a nice 10% boost which is really pretty substantial

overclock it and see. all the scores you see for others with your card are usually overclocked
dl msi afterburner and you should see a good improvement. without increasing your voltage you can go right to 1100MHz on your GPU no problem

So I overclocked to 1100 on the core and 1500 on the memory and my scores barely changed.

I benched with Unigine Heaven 4.0 with the Extreme preset and got a score of 894 at stock with an average of 35.5 fps and with the overclock (I now changed the power limit to 20% as suggested in other situations) and got a score of 983 with an average of 39 fps. A decent increase but still less than I was expecting. Is this a normal score for a 7950?

I understand that the performance would probably be enough but as you said there's always a want for more. Also the feeling that your graphics card is not performing as well as it should isn't a very good one. I've made a post on the overclock.net forums and hopefully they give me some more information. Thanks for the help, appreciate it.
