Hi,
I have been wondering if it is enough to install drivers with an automatic driver finder software such as driver reviver. i have discs of drivers that i received for examples with my asus motherboard, and when driver reviver showed me what drivers it's gonna update, it didn't mention ASUS at all, it just wrote something about chipset. So do i need to install drivers manually or it's just enough? And maybe i can restore the drivers from my windows.old folder somehow and it's better to do so? i'm really confused.. any ideas will be appreciated! thnx

Solution
Get the drivers from the mobo website or if other manufacturers website, don't trust these 'Driverfinder' sites, often get stuff with virus's and malware added in addition to drivers that are wrong and can screw things up bigtime

If your computer are new buy, your are suggested to update your device drivers to the latest. If you want to update outdated drivers manually: Right click "Computer", click "Manage", "Device Manager", then choose a device and update driver for it.

If you have a very old computer, just leave the old drivers alone.
