In a little bit of a dilemma right now.

I'm selling my gtx 580 for $200 and was planning on picking up one of these cards in the morning.

and the gigabyte version is on sale for this week only

now before anyone mentions price difference. I have the sapphire card pricematched to newegg.ca at 334.99 from a day ago, so they are the same price.

I've read that the sapphire card has a dual bios switch and can be overclocked, however I'm not a 100% on this. Its stock clock is only 925 mhz and I've heard that the other bios boosts it up to 1000mhz (Correct me if im wrong).

The gigabyte card seems to be have a locked voltage based on some digging i did around the net. however its stock clock is 1000mhz.

Now the big question here is if I choose to overclock the sapphire version, how much more efficient could it be than the locked gigabyte card? Will it even make a noticeable difference.

opinions guys?

@ the same price i would definnatly say "go ASUS". even if the core voltage is locked :) . Asus > Sapphire overall.
