Does any one having GTX 660 Ti install in a workstation HP Z800. Long story but for shot,
my system: Z800
- Dual CPU Xeon 2x 5560 @ 2.8 GHz
- 24 Gb RAM
- 850 W Power Supply
- Nvidia Quadro K2000
- 1x SSD samsung 840 Pro (win7/OS)
- 1x SSD samsung 256 Pro (no RAID)
- 2x WD Raptor (RAID-0)
- 1x 2Tb WD (no RAID) for bak up
- 1x DVD/RW/CD-Rom

I used this system for mostly video editing and some video game. To take advantage of GTX 660 Ti gaming card CUDA and bandwidth including the cost. Therefore I'm thinking about using this GTX 660 Ti

Your suggestion and help is greatly appreciated

Best Regards

Hi, I'm trying right now to do almost the same with my Z800: I want to remove those two crappy quadro NCV450 by one video card that can handle 4 outputs and use 2x6pins as I don't see how I can manage 8 pins with this closed system. So i found the 660 could do the job... I just want to confirm.

As you said, any suggestion and help is greatly appreciated

Best,
