Blue screen 0x000000A error

Hi

Yesterday I put my computer on hibernation and today it didn't start the system. I got a blue screen with the following info:

*** STOP: 0x000000A (0xc0045000, 0x000000FF, 0x00000000, 0x897AA02c)

I'm now looking for a way to solve the problem but I have no idea how, since I'm not able to start the computer in order to download a software that could help me. I also tried clicking the F8 key when the computer is starting to run, it seems I get stuck with the blue screen everytime.

But, well, I don't understand much about computers so I was hoping you could help me with that.

Any thoughts?
Thx

  1. Hi, Try clearing the CMOS (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for few minutes).

thx alexoiu... I tried that earlier but it didn't work. I guess I'll have to format the disc. hope it works :)
  3. Or you can try the repair option.
  4. Hi, try starting in Safe Mode and review system logs (Control Panel - Administration) for possible cause of the problem.
    Regards.
