Hi All,
I have an Asus P9X79 Pro Motherboard with Intel Core i7-3930K CPU and 32GB of RAM with two (HIS)AMD Radeon HD 7950 PCI Express 3.0 x 16 Graphics Cards.

The HD 7950 PCI Express 3.0 x 16 Graphics Cards are inserted into two PCI Express 3.0 x 16 slots on the motherboard.

Power is more than ample and is provided by a 1200 watt power supply (Corsair Professional Series GOLD AX1200 modular power supply).

I am running Windows 8 64bit from a Samsung PRO 512GB Solid State Drive and also have two WD Black 2TB HDD's.

Both Graphics Cards work individually (only one card inserted/installed at a time)and in any of the slots and with three monitors attached in an Eyefinity setup at 5760 x 1200.

I have another monitor I want to attach to a second card and not as part of my eyefinity and, I do not want to use a crossfire configuration.

I can add any Nvida Graphics card with one AMD HD 7950 and have a working solution but if I have two AMD HD 7950's (instead of one AMD HD 7950 and one Nvidia) then only one card works properly.

Both AMD HD 7950's show in Device Manager/Display Adapters and show as working properly with the latest drivers but only one AMD HD 7950 shows in Catalyst Control Center.

My problem is:-
I cannot get a monitor signal from a second AMD HD 7950 on any of the ports (DVI, HDMI or Display Ports)

If I connect the crossfire cable then Catalyst Control Center shows both cards.

So, the mother board slots are all good, my power is good, the cables are good, both cards are good but only seem to work in a crossfire configuration which is not what I want.
(This machine is for FSX and Prepar3D and they do not use Crossfire but I have add-on applications that need to run side by side on another monitor(s)when running my flight simulators)

I need three monitors on the first card (which is already working fine) and one monitor on the second card (card OK but no signal to the monitor).

As I purchased the second AMD HD 7950 just for this purpose, I don't want to resort to using one of my lower spec NVidia cards even though they at least work.

I have of course been through the process of uninstalling cards and drivers and reinstalling the cards and drivers etc. including the latest (13.8) beta drivers but nothing has helped.

Any help seriously appreciated as this one has driven me nuts.

Regards Kym

make sure you have not bridged the 2 cards with a crossfire bridge and crossfire is disabled in catalyst control centre.

No, they are not bridged and unless they are bridged, only one card shows in CCC so crossfire cannot be enabled without the bridge but thanks anyway.

If the card shows up with the Crossfire bridge you could do it that way and just not enable Crossfire in CCC. Although personally I would Crossfire them and connect all of the monitors to the primary card. I have both of my AMD/ATI rigs setup that way. I have 3 Asus 27" monitors in a Eyefinity and a fourth HDTV Plasma connected and working just fine. The only rig I have not been able to add the fourth monitor to is my i5/Nvidia rig. That one no matter were I connect my Plasma to disables the Surround every time.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, when I have the bridge connected, CCC does not allow me to switch off crossfire. When I disable it, I get a black screen and the system does not respond - I've waited several minutes before giving up and hitting reset. When it reboots, crossfire is once again enabled. I know I should spend more time in the registry but was hoping to see the 13.8 final released and wave a magic wand for me :-)

I see EnableCrossFireAutoLink with a DWORD value of 1 in the registry - I wonder..............
