I have the OEM Version of Windows 7 and whilst using my PC, my PSU overheated and shut down my PC with no message, after unsuccessfully trying to restart my system, I decided to get a new PSU as a replacement, I installed the new PSU and after trying to run my PC, There was no copy of Windows detected, After double checking my pc, I discovered my HDD wasn't plugged in properly, so I plugged it in only to get the same result, No boot disk detected, so I inserted my copy of Windows for a fresh install and it isn't working. Also, I cannot restore to a certain point as there is no other points or system images available. Please Help Me. i just want my PC back!

Update: I'm finally able to do a fresh install, currently at 0% i'll keep updating as time goes on.

Make sure the proper boot device is setup in your BIOS. Sounds like your motherboard was trying to boot to a different device. A PSU failure (and change) should not have rendered your HDD inoperable (under usual circumstances).
