Hello, A few days ago I put together 2 different type of RAM sticks and I think they short circuited. Now I fear either my sticks or motherboard is faulty because the red LED keeps burning.

Already bought new RAM sticks Kingston HyperX Genesis (2x4GB) 1600Mhz 1.65V DDR3 same as before

The stick i combined them with was a Kingston KVR 1333Mhz 1.5V

SPECS:

AMD Phenom ii x4 960T 3.4Ghz
Stock processor cooler
AMD Radeon 6850 Asus
600W power supply
Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600Ghz (2x4GB)

So... New mobo I guess?

Hi,
Try firstly clearing the CMOS (unplug the power cord and remove the CMOS battery for few minutes). Leave single RAM module inserted and start the board. Test each slot.

Tried clearing CMOS and each slot with 1 RAM module, but no luck. I still have no video output and red DRAM LED keeps burning.
