Good gaming build for under £700?

Hello guys, im not much of an expert on building my own pc, so could do with some advice. I need a computer capable of playing all modern games on medium up which is also good for photoshop.
I have a budget of £700 and have been advised to buy parts off aria pc. Could anyone help me find a good configuration for my budget?

Glad I could help :) I'd recommend picking up that i5 now though - I've literally never seen an i5 so cheap. You probably won't get another chance at that price, will go up like the i3 just did. Any other questions, feel free to PM me on either whenever.

Yes, the monitor should preferably be at least 19inch and 1080p. Keyboard and mouse dont need to be gaming models. Speakers can be cheap too or could be built into the monitor. Im not sure on the compatibility of linux, however if it is compatible with adobe creative suite and steam i could use that for a while. Otherwise yes i would need to purchase at least windows 7. So including everything you mentioned id still have a budget of about £700.

Nice, thanks! Are there any good monitors for about £100, and if i ditched the ssd (for now) could i get an i5? Im curious, is there a big difference between haswell and ivy bridge processors and is it worth the price? Also does this include cooling? thanks again :)

No worries :) I didn't include a cooler because one comes in the box. You only buy separately if you're using AMD and / or overclocking. You could indeed get an i5 instead of the SSD (though I'd personally take the SSD). Best solution is maybe to drop the RAM to 4GB and get an i5 AND the SSD. Both of those will give far more benefit than the extra 4GB.

Haswell is typically 5-10% faster than the equivalent Ivy model, so it's not a big difference. That said, there's not a big price difference either. For most models, I'd say Haswell is worth the small extra cost. And nope, I wouldn't consider any £100 monitor to be good. Course it depends on how good though - piece of string and all that.

Nah not really. There's a moderate performance difference, but it's not double. The price isn't really double either though if you're comparing the i3 I listed to an i5 and there's actually an amazing deal at Aria now on an i5 for £110:

That deal on the i3 I listed just ended so that's back up at £90 now. For £20, the i5 is definitely worth stepping up to.

Awesome, i wont be purchasing all the parts for a while so i'll find what i need then wait till i can get the best deals. Thanks again for your help; saved me a lot of time and effort searching for parts which i know little about :)
