This is my setup >> http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Gumby215/saved/21EQ with this monitor >> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... . After i got all the parts and assembled it and installed all the drivers and updated through windows i registered on steam and origin and started to buy games that i know i'd play like BF3, Crysis 2, Dark Souls, the newly released Saints Row 4, and other games. (still have 600+ GB of space in harddrive) But recently for no reason, that i can see, all the games that i play don't run smoothly on ultra anymore. I know the problem came up some time before SR4 came out bc when i first got it i tried to play it on ultra and it lagged massively so i tried Crysis 2 again bc i know when i started playing that it was running on all ultra flawlessly but now it lags when i play on ultra. Help??

i know it sounds mental but have you updated your drivers both board and graphical also keep a check on ur temps (coretemp is great for that) your shopping list doesnt list any cooling methods(water air oil ) nor does it list any fans (case side intake exhaust) although kudos on the cpu :-)

my graphics drivers are up to date, i don't think my board drivers are up to date but should i just go to the intel website? And my case has two 140mm fans in the front i believe and one 120mm upper back fan. I check the temps regularly when i game and it feels cool to the touch.

Fixed my problem. It wasn't the drivers or anything like that lol. My graphics card only has a dvi port and i think an hdmi port but my monitor doesn't have an hdmi port so it doesn't matter but i only had a vga cable and a dvi converter and the converter (when gaming) had subtle horizontal lines moving vertically along the screen so not knowing the consequences i unplugged the vga cable from the graphics card and plugged it into my motherboards vga port so all this time my computer has been playing the games from its onboard graphics instead of my graphics card. I pulled a stupid and i recommend anyone else to not unplug the ports from your graphics card into something else lol
