Hello, when I get my new components my PC will look like this:
CPU: Intel Core i5 3300 3.0 Ghz
GPU: MSI GTX 560 Ti Hawk
RAM: 8GB (1 stick)
MB: Asus P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
PSU: OCZ CXS500W

Now the question is - if my psu has only 4 pin cable, can I plug it in the motherboard's 8 pin and would it work as it should? If not, are there any convertors or anything so I don't have to buy a new PSU? Thanks.

Solution
I've run P8Z68V boards with only a 2x2 ATX12V connector without any issues. You can get an adapter like THIS but it really makes no difference as the additional 2 +12V pins are just split off the pair on the 2x2 connector.
