I have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo i wanted to use on my pc. when installing the drivers only the mouse drivers installed. i have also noticed that none of the 3 different USB keyboards i have tried to install will work, but mice do. The error i am getting is. "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. The system cannot find the file specified." This combo works with both of my other computers running windows 7/8 but not this one.

This is a good one:

1 - Turn off your computer.

2 - Unplug ALL USB devices

3 - Restart computer

4- After windows fully loads, plug ONE USB device in at a time

5 - Be sure not to plug any more in until the previous device is fully loaded

I have a Logitech wireless bluetooth mouse and keyboard and had this issue. During troubleshooting I even removed ALL USB instances in Device Manager in safe mode. Until I did the above method, which came recommended by a friend, it finally worked.

Good luck!!!
