Hey guys, I decided to Crossfire my current 7870 (Sapphire GHz edition @1050/1250 mhz) with another Gigabyte 7870 (1100/1200 Mhz). I reinstalled CCC drivers and turned on the CrossfireX option under the Performance tab. I ran Uniengine Valley benchmark and my score went from 31FPS to 38 FPS. Something didn't seem right, so I open up GPU-Z and see that my second card (Gigabyte) is running at 1x.
Specs
Asus Sabertooth 990FX
AMD Phenom II 1075T @ 3.4 ghz
Corsair HX 750 PSU
Gigabyte HD7870 2GB
Sapphire HD7870 Ghz edition 2GB
This would be my first time attempting at running a crossfire setup. I put my second card in the PCIEX16_3 http:// as an attempt to get additional air flow room.
Here is what my GPU-Z shows for both cards.

I've tried running the rendering test on GPU-Z the speed stays at 1x.
