So basically about a week ago I started having problems with my computer, at first I thought it was just my video card that was having issues because it would only work sometimes when booting up and other times the monitor would read "No Signal" even though the fans on the card were spinning. But the onboard video and all other parts were working.

Earlier today the computer shut off randomly while I was in the middle of a game and when I tried to restart it I couldn't get it to post or beep (there is an on board speaker), only the fans and LEDs were working.

I tried removing all but the mandatory parts (RAM psu mb and CPU) and even tried with no RAM in but still no beeps. All the cables that are required are connected and I tried resetting the CPU in its socket.

Something very odd that I found was that if I remove the battery from the board the fans/LEDs will not turn on (so basically when the battery is out nothing works)

I have read and tried the steps in the sticky about this issue and searched the forum for a solution but found nothing.

Running:
i5 2500k 3.3ghz
amd 7970 card GPU
700watt ocz PSU
MSI h67ma-e45 MB

Solution
Fixed the problem! It ended up being a faulty PSU, even though the lights and fans were working the psu wasnt powering the system properly. Once replaced everything began running smoothly. I hope this helps anyone else who runs into this problem!

Hey, I think I might have this problem too but not sure, here's my story: My dual monitor shuts off whether I am idle or in the middle of playing of a game and the computer remains on. My keyboard is frozen(I can't press Num lock to change it off/on) or anything, the only way to get my monitors back on is by holding onto my power button(yikes it hurts)! Even if my PC is still running( fans, LED), it could be possibly the PSU or even at worst the GPU?

I know its been close to a year so hopefully you get a chance to read this! Thanks
