I want this cooler because it's better than the h80i but I don't have any fan ports towards the top of my case. I have one at the back, 2 in vertical position in the side panel and one in the front this is that cit Neptune case.

I want to know if I cm mount the h100i on the side of the case with no problems
Thanks.

should be no problem, if your case side panel and handle the weight. (i.e the side panel is not flimsy and weak).

Also you should realize that attaching it on the side panel is going to make opening your case very difficult

it's that one, the plastic windows feels strong, is there something to do with the h100i has to be higher that the processor or something to do with the pump?

Thanks.

Will this panel be facing towards you or away from you ?

Is this what you wanna hear ? Slide up to @ 2:15

For $20 more consider the very quiet Coolermaster Eisberg 240L Prestige .... this loop can be "opened" to accommodate additional components ... and it's fans are only 20.5dBA compared to the H100s advertised 38 dBA

I don't mind too much about noise, just I need to know if it will be compatible or not.

I find noise bothersome but these things are really annoying ..... we are talking 64 times as loud dude :)

Each 3 dBA is a doubling of sound pressure .... 18 dBA difference / 3 = 6 doublings

2^6th power = 64

But with the 240L you can put the rad anywhere....just replace the tubing

yea if it feels strong it should be okay. No it doesn't have to be above the cpu or anything, in fact the pump is in the cpu waterblock, and if anything, putting it level with the cpu makes the pumps job easier.

this is completely incorrect. 10dba is a doubling of perceived sound levels.

Really, can one fan be 64 times louder than another one? I don't think you realize how much 64 times is.

Thanks everyone, I've decided to side mount.

I've heard noctua fans are good but they're expensive, what are your opinions?

It's a logarithmic thing

+3 dB = twice the power
+6 dB = twice the amplitude
+10 dB = twice the perceived volume

Even if ya wanna talk perceived volume ..... 18 db would be perceived as almost 4 times as loud.

But as we see here, we talking 60 dBA

yes I was just eluding to the same point. They are not 64 times louder, they are bout 4 times louder.
