Is this rig worth it?

Looking at buying a new gaming pc and came across this

Im just unsure on the 4gb ram and the 8150 processor, thoughts?

PSU not very good.
CPU is pretty bad for what it is.

I would pass on it and build your own.

Thought the same myself but to build a similar rig would completely blow my budget of 650. Do the sli 660 ti's not offset the 8150?

You have no idea how badly this guy has mistreated his computer - he's already said that his (ooh, wow) 4GB of ram had the heatsink break off and he lost it. That's not exactly an easy thing to do.

So, for £600, you're going into it having to upgrade the RAM, the CPU cooler, and the PSU.

Add to that a mediocre SSD, mediocre CPU, unknown condition of the other parts, and completely unknown status of the Windows install. Legal, hacked, OEM? Who knows?

I bet you the heatsink didn't 'break off' the RAM. He kept the 8gb kit that was probably in there and bought the cheapest 4gb stick he could find to be able to sell the computer as a 'whole system'.

I would be willing to bet the OS is stolen. Selling a stolen OS is more illegal than owning it in the first place.
