Okay, I'm looking for a really good gaming/DJ laptop that's gonna run fast and withstand both my hellish gaming and DJ-ing. So I thought I'd fill this out...

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Prob 15-17"

3. What screen resolution do you want?
1280x1024 or better

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Portable I guess

5. How much battery life do you need?
Dunno, at least 6 hours

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
Things like Sims, Slender, Walking Dead, World of Warcraft ect. and medium-high

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
DJ-ing definitely, maybe school work

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
4 GB or more

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
maybe bestbuy, don't really care

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
More I pay, longer I want it to last. At least 5 years

Going to point you to this boutique builder http://www.xoticpc.com/custom-gaming-laptops-notebooks-... see if anything there strikes your fancy. Note that I linked to 17" models since they often allow for two (or more) hard drives
I might suggest the Sager NP8275 as a good starting point

Alienware is Dell's gaming division - the products are good (if not a little overpriced IMO) and you get Dell's support (which in itself is good IMO)
