Ringing noise coming from speakers

Tried to skype but my friend couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear her. My speakers make this loud ringing noise when the volume is up high when I'm trying to video chat, however I can listen to music just fine. I know it's probably because I'm picking up other feedback, but I'd like to know how I can fix this. Both my mic and speakers are internal.

It sounds like your mic is receiving what the speakers are producing causing a loop.

EDIT: Right click your sound icon in the taskbar tray and click recording devices. Then select your mic and click properties. In the listen tab, uncheck listen to this device. See if this makes a difference.
