Intel e7500 processor
2GB DDR3 ADATA RAM (DRAM Voltage in BIOS shows 1.648V)
nVidia GTX 650 1GB GDDR5
Seasonic S12 II 520W PSU
Digilite G41 MXE motherboard
Socket Type LGA 775
FSB 800, 1066, 1333 MHz
Chipset Intel G41, Intel ICH7
Memory Configuration 8 GB DDR3 Dual Channel DIMM
Memory Frequency 800 MHz, 1066 MHz, 1333(O.C.) MHz

Question(s):
I want to upgrade the RAM from the current one to a 6GB DDR, an addition of 4GB single stick to the current ADATA 2GB DDR3 DRAM Voltage 1.648V (only one slot is free).

a) What is the best brand of RAM available for budget pricing?
b) What should I look out for when selecting a RAM... I've gone through some of the forum questions and I see the mention of 1.5 and 1.65 for some reason.
c) Do I need to watch out for compatibility of some sorts? And if Yes, what?
d) What brand manufactures the most reliable RAM usually? (I've always used cheapies like Hynix or Transcend and they generally give me headache after about 2 years)

The current options I'm looking at are:

1) ADATA Premier DDR3 4 GB PC RAM (9-9-9 CAS Latency, 166 MHz, 1.5 V Specified Voltage, DDR3-1333/PC3-10600) http://tinyurl.com/pzh844s
2) Corsair XMS3 DDR3 4 GB (9/9/2009, 200 MHz, 1.5 Specified, 1.65 Test, DDR3-1600/PC3-12800) http://tinyurl.com/q4xplj9
3) Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 (6-7-8-9, 667 MHz, 1.5 Specified, 1.65 Test, DDR3-1600) http://tinyurl.com/p7dhfqy
4) Transcend JetRam DDR3 (8 CAS, 800 MHz, 1.5 Specified, 1.6 Test, DDR3-1600) http://tinyurl.com/o9qgt8o

I would recommend buying a set of two, 2x4GB and running it in dual channel. Adding a 4GB to the current 2GB is not suggested as you would get much better performance and reliability from two of the same.

A) Most brands are pretty good. Often it is down to who you prefer. Common brands are G.Skill, Corsair, Kingston, Adata, Transcend and Mushkin.

B)There are three different stock voltages you can find. If this is on the label of the RAM you buy, it is the tested voltage you should use to ensure stability. 1.35V for low voltage RAM, 1.5V is your most common and 1.65V is higher voltage RAM often used for overclocking and/or has a high rated XMP profile which needs this voltage to be stable overclocked so high. I would recommend going with 1.5V RAM or lower.

C)The compatibility thing. Mixing RAM can sometimes cause errors. This is why we suggest you use two from the same pack as this RAM would have been tested together to ensure it works together.

D)For reliability? I'm not too sure, but I've heard good things about G.Skill customer support. I have Corsair RAM and it works well. No issues yet.

To finish, consider these RAM sticks. I know they are basically double the cost of what you were suggesting, but it should be a nice improvemnt over what you currently have.

It's pretty expensive since I've upgraded my graphics, PSU etc currently. I just want to pick one 4GB stick for now and then remove the old 2GB one and add another 4GB later.

Any recommendations on which of those would be reliable?
