Hi,

I ran the Windows Experience Index and got the following:

I have a C: (SDD, which has Windows 8 on it and some apps) and a F: (HDD, which has files). However, my read/write metric is low. Does the Windows sExperience Index factor in all drives--i.e., is it reading/writing to the F: as well? If not, shouldn't my score be higher than 5.9 since I have a (good) SSD?

I don't overclock or anything.

Thanks for your help.

When you don't give information on your system, no one can answer your questions. For no information, here is the best you can get:

1. Look at how fast the hard drive is supposed to go. What is the rating? Are you misinterpreting Mb and MB (MB is 8 times more than Mb) or something similar (Gb v. GB)

2. Is your hard drive a Sata 3 hard drive?

3. Does your motherboard support the faster connections (SATA 3). Go online for the manual if you have need.

4. Are the cables Sata 3 cables?

5. Is another device using the same bus as the sata drive (could slow down the transfer rate)?

This is a place to start. If you want specifics, you must start with them.
