from the list of used gpu with warranty, which one should i pick?
gtx 580 145$
gtx 670 225$
gtx 680 285$

this is all in usd, although im not using these currency to buy, so which one should i pick?
i really like 680 but i probably need to wait for few week to get it on my hand, but looking at that 580, that seem a ridiculous to pass by

Solution
the 680 and 670 are significantly more power efficient and yield much better fps, also the 680/670 are a year old, buying the 580 would put you 2 years behind, both the 670 and the 680 are a good choice, definitely stay away from the 580 though

No brainer. If money's no object, get the 680. It's newer, faster, and more efficient than the two other cards in your list. But the 670 offers more bang for buck. Don't get the 590. It's "old" tech already as it's 2 generations old. It can still give you 30+ frames on modern games, but it's not as efficient as the 670 or the 680.

Not even close, the gtx 680 is roughly equivalent to a gtx 770, but less power efficient

Not by a long shot. The performance difference between a 680/770 and a 780 is quite significant. Even if you pit the "most-OC'd" variant of the 680/770, the 780 will still be significantly faster.

Also, the GTX 770 is technically a GTX 680 on steroids.

I agree. But just a wee bit. the GTX 680 consumes 8 to 10 watts more on peak operation, than a GTX 770.

fine then, i will pick the 680, and next year when the price of used 680/770 is lesser, i probably trade the card for a single 780+cash or i get another 680, not a fan of sli watt usage

i got still a few thing to ask, probably after i back home

for example if i have two gtx 680 on sli, i leave it on idle with cpu downclock(1.6) and monitor off(button not plug)

You don't have to worry about power consumption of the cards even when you leave your PC on. Unless of course, if you're running a video or a game is minimized while you're downloading.

Typical usage of cards in idle are between 5 to 15 watts at most.
